Once opened, it is important to keep the PET Plus powder dry. This is the key to its long shelf life. All PET Plus ingredients are dry and only become active once wetted, eaten or mixed with wet food. This means that the true shelf life of an unopened pot of PET Plus is many, many years.
But, I hear you say, each tub has “Use within 4 months of opening” printed on the label. This is true but it is only precautionary. As long as you keep the contents dry, the 4 month limit does not apply.
