Healthy Food And Drink Notes
Drink 1.5 – 2 litres clean, chemical free, still (not fizzy) water (glass bottled or filtered) evenly through the day, so you don’t have to pee all night! Urine should be almost clear. Add slices of lemon to first 0.5 litre in the morning to help cleanse liver.
Fruits And Nuts
Eat hydrating foods e.g. fresh, ripe, raw fruits (esp. apples, pears) and vegetables, soaked nuts (walnuts, almonds), soaked and sprouted seeds and beans (like alfalfa, adzuki, chick peas, lentils (whole/green/puy) and sunflower seeds.
Oils From Seeds And Nuts
Take omega 3 oils (flax/linseed oil) 3 tablespoons daily until properly hydrated. For 2 more excellent sources of omega 3 essential oils: Either mix 1 tablespoonful of Chia seeds in a mug / glass of clean water, stir occasionally for 10 minutes then drink / eat; or soak 1 tablespoonful of linseeds (same as flax seeds) in a mug / glass of clean water overnight. Drink and chew in the morning!
Soaked walnuts are also an excellent source of omega 3 oils. Avoid eating dead animals or animal products (meat, fish, dairy, eggs); there’s plenty of protein in vegetables, esp. greens, soaked nuts and sprouted seeds.
How to Soak Nuts
Put a handful of nuts (walnuts are best, almonds next best) in a mug / bowl and fill with filtered / glass-bottled water.
Leave for 12 hours then tip off water and rinse until water runs clear then can store in fridge in water for up to 5 days, rinsing clean every day. Do not eat them if water starts bubbling as they will be fermenting.
How To Sprout Seeds and Beans
Put a handful of seeds / beans in a sprouting jar and fill with filtered / glass-bottled water. Leave for 12 hours then tip off water and rinse until water runs clear.
Leave to stand in a warm place rinsing twice daily until seeds start to grow, then eat them! Store in fridge, rinsing twice daily, to stop further growth, as most are best eaten before green leaves appear. Alfalfa and sunflower seeds are best eaten when they have the first pair of green leaves (sunflower seeds need soil for best results).
