PET Plus Testimonial - The End Of Sleepless Nights!

26-Nov-2012 - Michelle Read Discovered Pet Plus

I have two English Setters who both have had many digestive problems for the last four years.

I started to feed them raw mince (Prize Choice and Nature’s Menu) and I saw a vast improvement since switching to raw but unfortunately they both still have digestive flare ups from time to time (one more so than the other).

One dog is hypothyroid and soloxine hasn’t really agreed with him. He has had so many digestive problems since being on soloxine and his T4 doesn't ever seem to stabilise.

It is very often over the limit which as you can imagine causes him very bad diarrhea. I have, 3 months ago, switched him onto a natural dessicated thyroid (Nature Throid) and so far he is much better on this but it is still early days.

My other dog didn't take very well to her first vaccinations and I have been battling with digestive problems ever since. She swings from diarrhea to constipation (mucus, blood, straining etc) is very often sick and seems to have a lot of stomach pains (lots of stretching and pacing around when she doesn't feel well).

Anyway, as I said, they are both much better on raw but not cured! I stumbled across Pet Plus on the internet so hope it will help some more – I have spent many nights up with her in the last four years watching as she paces around feeling ill and wont settle, constantly wanting to go outside.

Fingers crossed!

03-Dec-2012 - Well, So Far So Good

Both dogs seem to be doing well on the Pet Plus and for the first time in as long as I can remember we have had a few uninterrupted night's sleep (what bliss).

I would like to re-order some more Pet Plus as the other jar is going down quite quickly (as you said). Could I please have the larger jar this time which will last a while longer.

04-Dec-2012 - Fabulous PET Plus

I wish I had found Pet Plus years ago - long may the sleep continue!

21-Feb-2013 - An Update

Both dogs have been doing really well – I have transferred them onto the complete Natural Instinct range of dog food as well as keeping up with the Pet Plus.

One of the dogs used to frequently sick up bile every morning at 4/5 am and I am pleased to say that in the last two months this has only happened once – because I forgot to mix the Pet Plus in with her food!

We truly have suffered for the last four years with my dogs digestive problems and feel so sorry that I didn't find out about Pet Plus earlier.

  1. I have an Irish Setter who suffered for years with gastro-intestinal problems, despite having a good quality raw diet. I would often see undigested food in her stools, along with blood and undigested fats. Despite this she was an excellent agility dog, winning into grade 3 which for a Setter is fantastic. However, at the age of 5, her times in the ring became much slower, and video's taken showed that she was lumbering. She then started loosing the use of her hind legs. The vet I attended at that time couldn't find anything wrong, and complained "you keep bring this dog to me saying things are happening, and I cannot find any evidence. I also feel bullied by you insisting upon a thyroid test, and claiming that she has laryngeal paralysis - when again I can find no evidence for it" (I knew precisely what I was hearing!!!) I eventually put my foot down and demanded a referral to a vet friend of mine at Queens Vet School. There Tally was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism, Myeopathy, AND laryngeal paralysis! I was told there was no hope for her, and that Tally was about to die. I was given a maximum of 9 months post diagnosis. Well, it certainly looked that way, until I watched a video by Dr. Karen Becker on dysbiosis and there I recognised all of Tally's initial symptoms. I put her on digestive enzymes..... that was 4 years ago, and her condition quickly started - not just improving - but reversing!!! I would say an 80% reversal. She is now coming up 12, and appeared to be struggling again. A vet friend of mine suggested I tried Pet Plus... and my goodness the life is returning to my old girl again. Her coat is the best I have seen it in years. she is happy, trotting around with the others, playing in the river, and really enjoying life again. Her hind legs have recovered some strength yet again. Not only that, but to my amazement she has regained strength in her jaws. Last year she could no longer pick up a 1lb dummy, so I bought her a puppy dummy to retrieve. Just over a week ago, I threw out a dummy for one of my other dogs to retrieve, and Tally trotted out and picked it up as though she had never had a problem! Truly amazing. This has taught me that when the body receives the good nutrition adequately, then the body does indeed heal itself. I have applied this to my own life (I have Addison's Disease) and I have had far fewer incidents where I have needed emergency injections and hospitalization. I am now about to embark on a health coaching course for humans It would be great if there was one for dogs too!!!! I have just recommending Pet Plus to a friend whose Viszla is suffering from hind leg weakness. Hopefully she will be picking up his first pot from our local pet shop tomorrow, as I have got them to order some in. Thank you for a wonderful product, and thank you from Tally too.
